On March 1, 2023, The Honorable Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Bangladesh, Ms. Anne van Leeuwen; the Honorable Senior Policy Advisor, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh, Ms. Mushfiqua Satiar, leader of the delegation, MP, Mr. Pim van Strien; MP, Mr. Alexander Hammelburg; MP, Mr. Raymond de Roon; MP, Mr.Mustafa Amhaouch; MP, Mr. Stieneke van der Graaf with their team visited the Jute bag Production center of camp 5. During the visit, they were accompanied by the UNHCR’s Representative in Bangladesh, Mr. Johannes Van Der Klaauw, and Mr. Subrata Kumar Chowdhury from the Livelihoods Unit team of UNHCR.

They were welcomed at the center by The Project Coordinator, Mr. Ataur Rahman. As they walked around the various units of this production center, Mr. Subrata Kumar Chakrabarty briefed them about different diversified jute products and the making processes by the refugee women. They also talked to the refugee women who were employed in this production center and exchanged their thoughts on how these activities are bringing changes in their day-to-day life. After the visit, they expressed their joyfulness.
