On March 9, 2023, The Honorable Chief Executive Officer- Australia for UNHCR, Ms. Trudi Mitchell along with her team visited the Jute bag Production center of camp 5. During the visit, they were accompanied by the UNHCR Livelihood team.

They were welcomed at this center by The Project Manager, Ms. Herana Parvez, and the Central manager MS. Urbi Chakma. They were briefed about different diversified jute products and making processes by the refugee women when they walked around the various units of this production center. They also talked to the refugee women working in this production facility and got their opinions on how these activities are changing their daily lives. After the visit, she expressed her joyfulness and write the following comment in the visitor’s book

" Very wonderful to meet the ladies and team at the jute factory. Wonderful to see women's empowerment in action".
