Under Accountability and Responsiveness in Informal Urban Settlements for Equity (ARISE) project, a Regional Sharing Meeting on Urban Health Issues have been organized by NGO Forum for Public Health, Rangpur on April 30, 2024.

Through the assistance of BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University and financial support of Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF), United Kingdom Research and Innovation (UKRI), NGO Forum for Public Health has implemented this project with four government health service providing organizations in 15 wards of Rangpur City Corporation. The objective of this project is to build capacity of low-income community people in claiming their health rights from service providers and to strengthen governance of health service providing organizations. In the Regional Sharing Meeting, Mr. Md. Mostafizer Rahman, Honorable Mayor, Rangpur City Corporation has participated as the chief guest and Mr. Shah Md. Ahsan Habib, Regional Manager, NGO Forum, Rangpur was the president of this meeting.
As the special guests, Dr. Md. Wazed Ali, Civil Surgeon, Rangpur; Dr. Md. Kamruzzaman Ibne Taz, Chief Health Officer, Rangpur City Corporation; Dr. Md. Mafizul Islam Maantu, Ex President, Bangladesh Private Medical Practitioners Association and Professor Ms.Sabina Faiz Rashid, PhD, Principal Investigator, BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University have participated in the event.  Mr.Md.Ahasan Habib, PhD, NGO Forum; Ms. Nazia Islam, Learning, Monitoring & Documentation Specialist, BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University and Mr.N.S.M. Asad, Urban Health Coordinator have presented the presentations. NGO, Print & Electronic media, Civil Society and Community representatives have participated in this event.
