NGO Forum and Oxfam in collaboration with State University Bangladesh organized the final round of the competition of the "Scalable Model of Sustainable FSM for Ecosystems Restoration"

A part of the project was to promote ideation; thus, NGO Forum and Oxfam had organized a competition to attract and promote young talents for expanding and nurturing innovative ideas for a scalable Fecal Sludge Management (FSM) model that considers the economic, social, environmental and ecosystem aspects.

NGO Forum and Oxfam in collaboration with State University Bangladesh organized the final round of the competition of the "Scalable Model of Sustainable FSM for Ecosystems Restoration" on the 8th of July, virtually. The top three applicants shared their idea during the event time and the winner was chosen based on the presentation on the idea on the same day.

The event was attended by Dr. Dipankar Datta the Country Director (Oxfam Bangladesh) and S M A Rashid the Executive Director (NGO Forum). AJM Zobaidur Rahman the Country Strategic Communications Lead (Oxfam) and Dabaraj Dey were moderate of the whole event. Also, in attendance were Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam Head, Department of Environmental Science (SUB), Atwar Rahman the Humanitarian Programme and Operations Lead (Oxfam), Md. Toriqul Islam the WASH Specialist (NGO Forum) and staff from all the head and regional offices of NGO Forum for Public Health. During the event, Toriqul Islam the WASH Specialist (NGO Forum) shared a presentation on the FSM in Mymensingh City Corporation and the strategy moving forward.
