Implementation of Cox’s Bazar District WASH Programme focusing on Community Approaches to Total Sanitation (CATS), Promotion of Water Safety Plans and WASH in Institutions under GoB-UNICEF (LOT-2) |
The major objectives of the project are to ensure improved water, sanitation, and hygiene among the target community in Teknaf sub-districts under Cox’s Bazar including Ashrayon projects, schools, and health care facilities with focusing children, women, girls, person with disability and wellbeing of poor people which will lead to achieve zero open defecation communities, use of improved sanitation facilities, adoption of hygiene behavior, safe drinking water and safety community declaration. In addition to this, the project also focuses on WASH system strengthening in Cox’s Bazar and targeted Upazila as well as enriching private sector capacity for scaling-up access to improved WASH services.
