Multi-Sectoral Emergency Response to Cyclone Remal affected vulnerable populations in Barishal Division |
Objectives: The project objectives is to provide life-saving WASH and Nutrition services to the most affected areas focusing on the target community including children, women and people with disabilities. Social and behavioural change communication is critical during and after the disaster, which will be addressed through this proposed project.
Target areas (Geo-locations): The project is targeting a total 57 Unions of Nine (9) Upazilas under Barguna, Patuakhali, Pirojpur districts.
Proposed interventions: WASH facilities and nutirtion support along with Community Engagement & Accountability to Affected People (AAP).
Target beneficiaries: An estimated total of 250,000 direct and indirect beneficiaries including women, men, children, elderly people and people with disability, adolescents Children and Adolescents with Disabilities (CAwD) as indirect and indirect beneficiaries.
Implementation modality
NGO Forum will engage with other NGO actors who will be engaged in the responses for coordinated support in any arising emergency response, in close coordination with the WASH Cluster members, Community-based Youth organizations, Community radio, Youth alliance etc.
NGO Forum will ensure the full response by engaging Project staff supporting the other key staff working in the Central office and Barisal Regional office for better planning, implementation, monitoring, and coordination.
