Project Objective & Goal :

The goal of the project is to improve health, quality of life & livelihoods as well as the overall WatSan situation of poor and disadvantaged rural communities.

Objectives of the project are:

  • to increase access to safe water sources, sustainable change of hygiene and sanitation facilities.
  • to improve hygiene and sanitation awareness through ignition and community mobilization.
  • to increase community participation along with LGIs and others stakeholders.
  • to enhanced community led total sanitation (CLTS)

This project was carried out in selected rural areas to improve public health, quality of life, and livelihood, as well as to enhance the overall WASH situation for poor and disadvantaged rural communities. It was recognized as a significant step in prioritizing the WASH issue within the budgeting process of Union Parishads in the project area. As a result, government support was ultimately secured for the poor and hardcore poor, contributing to improvements in their health, livelihood, and overall quality of life.
